Arrow Transport — Port Logistics

Service

Biosecurity, Fumigation & Customs Services

On-port biosecurity capability — BMSB fumigation, tailgate inspections and wash-bay — to clear your containers and keep cargo moving.

Imported cargo has to satisfy Australian biosecurity requirements before it can be released, and during the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) season those requirements tighten considerably. A held container that cannot be treated quickly is a container racking up storage and detention. Arrow runs the on-port facilities to deal with that hold and get your freight back on the move.

We offer container fumigation during the BMSB season, tailgate inspections, a wash bay for contaminated units, and the unpack and storage capability to handle whatever the inspection turns up. Because the facilities sit on-port, containers do not travel back and forth across the city to be treated — which is where a lot of avoidable delay usually creeps in.

The goal is simple: meet the biosecurity standard, document it cleanly, and clear the container without drama. Our team works to keep treatment turnaround tight and to give you visibility of where each held container sits in the process.

What we offer

The capabilities that make up this service.

BMSB fumigation

Container fumigation through the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug season at quarantine-capable, on-port facilities — keeping seasonal holds moving.

Tailgate inspections

Tailgate (rear-door) inspections to satisfy biosecurity assessment without a full unpack where the inspection type allows.

Wash bay

Wash-bay capability to clean externally contaminated containers so they meet biosecurity condition for release.

Unpack, storage & distribution

Once cleared, we unpack, store short or long term, and distribute your freight — one provider from hold to delivery.

Frequently asked questions

What is BMSB fumigation and when is it required?
BMSB fumigation treats containers and cargo for the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, a seasonal biosecurity risk. The Australian government applies heightened measures to goods shipped from target countries during the BMSB risk season (roughly September to April), and affected containers must be treated before release.
What is a tailgate inspection?
A tailgate inspection is a biosecurity assessment carried out at the rear doors of the container without fully unpacking it. Where the goods and risk profile allow, it lets a container be assessed and released faster than a full unpack-and-inspect.
Can you handle a container that is held by biosecurity?
Yes. We coordinate the required treatment — fumigation, wash or inspection — at our on-port facilities and handle the unpack, storage and onward distribution once the container is released. [VERIFY] specific accreditation classes/numbers before publishing any accreditation claims.
